CAMPING
Warner Robbins Air Force Base

December 5-7, 2008

For our December  trip, Troop-499 will be car camping at Warner Robbins Air Force Base on October 6 - 8, 2007.  During our visit to WR AFB, we will be visiting the flight school, testing a flight simulator, and touring the base. 

LOGISTICS:  Please arrive at the scout hut by 6:00 pm on Friday.  We will load up the trailer and leave the scout hut no later that 7:00.  We should be home on Sunday around 1:00 pm.  Please eat dinner before you come as we will not be stopping.

WHAT TO BRING:  Please bring your normal camping gear for this trip.  We will be sleeping on the base in Troop-499 tents.  You will need your sleeping bag, extra clothes, and any other gear that you would normally bring on a car camping trip.

FOOD:  Menus will be planned in a patrol setting prior to the trip.

Remember Class A Uniform for travel.

COST:  There is $50 cost for this trip.  This money will be paid to the Air Force Base.  Additionally, we will be asking each scout to contribute $15 to help defer the cost of gas for our drivers.  So, the total cost for this trip will be $35.  PLEASE BRING $50 CASH AS THE MONEY WILL BE REQUIRED DURING THE TRIP.
